This 1920s-set musical comedy features the music of George and Ira Gershwin. The story centers around young and wealthy Jimmy Winter, who is about to marry a self-absorbed dancer, Eileen Evergreen. However, his plans are complicated when he meets Billie Bendix, a tough female bootlegger, who stashes gin in his Long Island mansion. The musical follows the ensuing chaos as Jimmy tries to juggle his impending nuptials, the arrival of prohibitionists, and the presence of Billie and her gang, all while falling for Billie. The show features classic Gershwin tunes like “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off” woven into a comedic plot.
