If you’ve ever brought your kids or grandkids to the Simcoe Splash Pad on a hot summer day, you know how much joy it brings. After more than 20 years of splashing and laughter, the concrete is starting to give way — and it’s time for a major refresh.
The Simcoe Kinsmen Club has stepped up with a big goal: raise $80,000 to rebuild the splash pad and host a grand reopening next June. And the best part? Everyone in the community can pitch in.
How it works
The Kinsmen have set up four utility trailers across Norfolk County to collect empty bottles and cans. The refunds from these returns go straight into the splash pad fund. A simple way to make a big impact!
Here’s where you can drop off your empties:
- Simcoe Legion
- Hillcrest Road in Simcoe
- ESSO Station in Waterford
- Gary Havilland Automotive (14th Concession, between Blueline and Cockshutt Roads)

Why it matters
This isn’t just about fixing concrete — it’s about keeping a space alive where families gather, kids play, and memories are made. By donating your bottles, cans, or funds, you’re helping make sure the splash pad is ready for another generation of fun.
Spread the word, pitch in however you can, and let’s make this project happen together. Norfolk knows how to rally — and with your help, we’ll be splashing again by next summer!
